I can see clearly now the Germs are gone

Good News:  Autumn is still not sick and doing fine.  She went to school and had absolutely no trouble today.

The house is bleached and as sanitized as I can get it!  I have washed anything that has been touched the last week and it was good to see the bottom of the sink after loading a dishwasher full of cups.  Seems as though when I get sick my family gets very thirsty.  A few things I notice after I have been sick….  Remotes get lost, clothes leap off bodies and right onto floors, and crumbs appear everywhere!  When I’m not sick I don’t see these things happen and I’m not preventing them from happening so not sure what goes wrong when I’m in bed!

A lot to get done today so I bribed, begged and pleated with the little girls to fold their own laundry.  I turned on a cartoon and they folded while they watched.  It was like watching magic preformed my angels!

Aubrey was too into her movie to look at me.  Check out Annsley outfit choice….

We got out for Mexican food (great after being deathly ill) and some much needed staples from the $store.  Annsley needed pull-ups so I had to share what she does.  She is so quirky!  Every time she gets a new package she immediately takes them to her room and sorts them by the picture on the front.  She then very methodically puts them into her drawer.  She’s going to live with padded walls one day if I don’t get her help.  She does this with EVERYTHING.  In fact, we always know who makes the mess  in their room because Aubrey’s stuff is everywhere, and Annsley’s toys are always lined up!

A note to the Grandparents.  I know I am about to start receiving hate mail if I don’t post some decent pictures of the girls.  I am fully aware that this weeks posts does not contain a significant enough amount of pictures of the girls but don’t worry, we have lots of good stuff this weekend.  I plan on taking a lot of pictures!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Me yesterday:

What I felt like acting like:

So therefore I have no idea what happened in my girls life yesterday.  I know they played some in their room and fixed their own lunch.  Now I have no idea where the lid to the peanut butter is.  But they did check on me.  I had so many sweet things on my night stand like Dr. Pepper cans, candy, princess’, and many many drawings, colorings and get well notes.  Once Autumn was home from school, she cleaned up a bit and fixed me some water.  She was like a personal nurse. She also played with the girls.  She AMAZING like that.  Then Joshua got home and took the girls outside to play and then out to dinner. I was in bed almost all day and slept more than most newborns do.  It was great.  Although today running low on energy and will to survive.  I have plans tomorrow to catch up on 2 days worth of house work that will feel more like 4 days of house work.  (Why is it always double?) I feel a full recovery coming on especially because of the girl scout cookies sitting on my table.  Thank the lord I have friends that put their kids in girl scouts!  Thanks Leslee!

Being as though I was in bed trying not to move or open my eye’s yesterday, I did not look at the calendar…..  So much to my surprise and Joshua’s dismay, we missed donuts with dad this morning.  So my sweet husband picked the girls up from school and took them to get ice-cream and see the baby chicks at the feed store.  He lives to do things with those girls!

Tonight Autumn is sleeping in our room.  She is the only one that has not been sick.  She really has no chance…  Everyone she has been around has had it.  Her teacher, fellow students, almost everyone in her school, church, her friends outside of school, her immediate family, her extended family (all sides) and just about everyone in the stores, our town and path that she has crossed!  It’s everywhere.  I feel bad for her knowing it’s coming.  As of right now, she’s okay.  She came home from school to just lay on the couch and has not had any energy since.  She’s pale and quiet so I intend on keeping her home from school unless there is some miraculous recover during the night.

(Sorry for the corny googled pictures.  I hate posts without pictures!)

Revelations….

I have had some revelations today if that is the right word.  Tonight while sitting at Sonic waiting for that perfect nutritious dinner to serve my family, I got to notice how fast those girls are on their skates.  Then thinking how great that must be for their thighs and buttocks.  Revelation:  That would be great for my thighs and buttocks.  Can I wear those in my house?  I go up and down the stairs 4230 times a day.  Can I do that with skates?  How much faster could I get things done with those on?  Would they work on my brand new carpet?  Anybody got some I can try?

Next revelation:  I love my carpet so much I’m not sure I would want to skate on it.  Know what I don’t like about my carpet?  It’s not everywhere!  Love Love Lurve that carpet.  I would rather have stains on carpet than perfect hardwood floors.  Did I say I loved it?

Next please:  I wish my husband worked from home all the time.  He was home this weekend working:  Love seeing his big ol self outside my windows….

Next…….  I wished my husband worked from home but NOT I repeat NOT in the house.  He was home sick today and I cannot handle him in the house.  Love the 6’2, 275 pound side of man meat that he is but need him outside of my working walls!  Don’t like the shows he watches, music he listens to or the naps he takes!  Love him though.  Surprisingly.

Next up…………. What I thought was a tiny and mild case of food poising is actually a tummy bug.  3 of my 4 people have it.  Had to break in the new carpet.

Next……………………….  I may be next on the sick list so keep your fingers crossed so I can get a day or 2 off.
