Schools Out for SUMMER!

I’m am so sorry that I have deserted you…  It’s been a few weeks since I have posted enough to keep the Grandparents happy. 

I have tried to sneak a few posts in to let you know I’m alive.  But, I admit defeat!  I cannot (in these conditions) do anything except what HAS to be done… 

I can barley get done what HAS to be done.  This month has had so much going on but now the girls are finished with school…  I’m finished with some crazy pictures… and we are finished with something on the calendar every day followed by getting into bed late every night.

I’m hoping summer comes with more time in the day to play and more time in the night to catch more sleep!        

So far, we are just hanging out,

Getting caught up on sleep,

Feeding and tend’en to the animals,

 

getting things done that need to be done,

doing things we want to do,

 

Cooking our favorites,

 

making faces,

and napping…

 

So, hopefully summer will be great…  It’s good so far, the two little girls slept in until 9:00 this morning and I foresee a nap this afternoon.

I have several posts that need to go up included a few more end of the school year activities and Joshua’s birthday. 

I have so much planned for this summer I hope I can fit it all in and then get it all blogged, so I’m taking today to start some of those! Bye!

Bye Bye Pre-School!!

Off to Kindergarten my baby goes.  A few days before school was out was the field trip the the new school of which Aubrey will be attending.  She was very excited about the trip and also about the walk there!  (Thank goodness downtown in this town is small.)

There is a courtyard in the middle of the school that several turtles call home!  This excited Aubrey….

So now Aubrey knows what her school looks like and where everything is.  She even got to go in a few classrooms.  We saw the teacher that (I think) I will be requesting for her and walked though everything she will do.   I’m wondering what it’s going to be like to have to get her up and dressed EVERY morning.  She will not be pleased about that!

We have also signed her up for Cheerleading for the kindergarten football team.  I’m excited for this next season of her life!  Full of firsts I’m sure!

I’d Guess Valedictorian

My sweet Aubrey graduated from Preschool last week.  I wont get started on the fact that it was on a Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.  I wont get started on the fact that I restrained from telling everyone involved how absurd that time was and I certainly wont get started on the many ideas and ways we could have done this so friends, family and grandparents could all have been there.

What I will say is that my sweet preschooler is going to be a big kindergartner next year!  Oh how Kindergarten in a great grade and I love having a kindergartner just learning new things everyday!

While the principle was talking, Aubrey was the only one standing.  She was so excited to graduate…  I just wanted to hug her!

 

Sorry, it’s a tad blurry.  It was a little dark in there and she was RUNNING to her teacher to get her diploma!  Again she was so excited to graduate!

   

The kids sat with their parents after their turn, so this is her watching her friends.  She wanted to miss nothing!

Ms. Lori.  How we love Ms. Lori.  I cannot say enough about Ms. Lori.  She is the most patient, kind and sincere lady.  My entire family feels blessed to know her and we feel amazingly lucky to have gotten her as Aubrey’s teacher.

Aubrey’s friends….  This is just a few in her class but does not come close to all the girls she loves.  She has so many sweet friends…. I’m so glad they will most likely grow up together!

  

And apparently graduation is such a special occasion, she had to pull out the good shoes!

Never Smile at a Crocodile

Autumn had her end of year music concert this past week.  (or was it the week before..?)  She was of course the best singer up there.  She wasn't nervous a bit.  I was!
