Whatz up?

A lot happens here.  All the time.  For the last few weeks, we have had at least one major thing a day on our calendar.

Major….

Like this particular day we had a vet visit.  As with the ‘normal’ around here it was anything but.

Most people take a dog or cat or two…We Take a dog, a goat and ducks.

Just a normal trip to the vet.

To get a dog, ducks and a goat loaded in the car, I had to get creative. (Take a minute to imagine this)

I gave Cupid a bottle….   put the ducks in a box….   and got Calamity Jane a tennis ball.  Worked like a charm.  They all happily loaded.

(I’ve had to get a little creative when Cupid needs a bottle and I’m a little busy!  Hey it works.  Great idea if I ever have another baby!)

Autumn really wanted to go to the vet with me, so I took her out of school for a little bit.  I made Joshua take off and meet me there because I was a little worried about ducks being eaten.

When I feed Cupid, Calamity is right there to lick any drips she may have!

So this was just 2 hours out of our lives and we have had so many excitinger things happen. I just like to show how we can complicate even the normal things in life!

The 3 girls end of the year activates are plentiful and time consuming but all so much fun!  I have so many plans for some really great posts about all that, just not enough minutes in the day.  (Unless I quite sleeping.)  So, soon!  Promise!

Then time for Ramey and Rhetts 7th and 2nd birthday party!

uhhhhh all I have to say is Aubrey probably will have to have some training before following in my footsteps.  This is what she came up with!  It’s a lot better than my first shots though!

livin la vida loca

This fabulous Cinco~De~Mayo day was the day we brought home our newest pets.  Aubrey felt lead to name the girl Lucky because we are lucky to have her and the boy Hunter because he will hunt the chickens and scare them away.  Appropriate.

 002 004 005

We picked them up while Autumn was at school so she was so excited when she saw them.  Wished I’d had gotten that picture….

We let them play in the house for a bit but they will reside in the barn from now on.  Hopefully grow up with the goats and keep them from getting eaten by anything…  Judging by their dad, the boy should be bigger than our biggest goat and the girl will be about the same size as the goats.

Cupid is just SO glad to have someone to play with!

Chick-tastrophe

Not a lot of unusual (or unusual to us anyway) happened today and nothing really was picture upload worthy except for one thing.  Almost as if we are required to have something tragic everyday.  Autumn found a baby chick.  She came running home from the barn telling us to NOT go over there.  After quite a bit of persuading, I finally got out of her why…  The baby chick she had found was dead in the water trough.  Oh how this alarmed her.  I fished it out and Papa buried it.  At the very same time, we also had goats breaking out of their pins and baby goats going everywhere.  Because things don’t happen one at a time around here.  I also got a call tonight wanting to know if we wanted pigs.  Uhh.  Hellow.  Do you know us?  Do you know how many animals we have?  Do you know how crazy our life is?  Yes, How many you got?  Now, all I have to do is talk Joshua into letting me have 2 of 5.  Oh how that would make my pork dreams come true!  If I get my way, I’ll have pig pictures on here soon.  For now, all I have is a picture of Cupid playing on her homemade playground.  She loves the silky lining of Aubrey’s coat and to climb.  These tubs equal hours of enjoyment for Cupid and anyone watching!

Peace, Love and Pigs to you!

Petting Zoo is now Open

My days are filled with  several different things.  Everyday and normal things that I sometimes don’t realize are crazy, odd and maybe a tad un-conventional.  Not to mention insane, ludicrous, controversial, bizarre, atypical, out of the ordinary, weird or my personal favorite….  Whimsical.

Here are just a few from today.

First off, my cat sleeps like a bat.  He likes to hang his head.  He tried to hang more but he kept falling in the floor.  (Is it me or did all that rhyme?)

 001 003

I also have a Kid that lives in my house and likes her bottles.  Every 3 hours.  Without fail!

006 009 011

Her view changes every once in a while.  A new face to feed her.  She’s not picky as long as her bottle is warm.  And full.  Notice how Aubrey feeds without missing her movie? Or her nap?

And when I spill left over rice, I get help to clean.  However at this time she’s not folding laundry.  I’m working on her though.

023

And when I’m cleaning up after dinner, I notice something under my island in the kitchen.  What could that be?

047

 045048

Ooops.  I was caught.  See that blurry tail wagging?  She must think she’s a dog!

 050

And every once in a while we make the news.  Well maybe not like real reporter or paper news.  Or maybe no one knows, but my Joshua sold a cow tonight.  (Not the first and hopefully not the last.) But it was a good cow.  Actually it technically was a steer but to me they are all cows.  The people loved the cow.  Will show the cow.  Hopefully will win scholarships from showing this cow.  We are one cow down from living the dream.  Now we sell 1000 more and we’ll be on our way!  Whew who!

015

Good Job Joshua!
